چکیده
Maritime wireless communication is different from terrestrial wireless communication, due to difference of environments. In this paper focuses to simulate on IEEE 802.16j for ship to ship maritime communication under various sea states. We describe BER level according to sea states under Rician fading channel model. BER patterns are designed using MATLAB.

Ship to Ship Maritime Communication for e-Navigation Using WiMAX
Maritime wireless communication is different from terrestrial wireless communication, due to difference of environments. Nevertheless technologies based on WiMAX (IEEE 802.16j) for ship to ship maritime communication promised to deliver high data rates over large distances and deliver multimedia services and are expected to use e-Navigation system. This paper focuses to simulate on IEEE 802.16j...
متن کاملModelling Traffic Navigation Network with a Multi-agent Platform
The increase of maritime traffic in the past few years have posed concerns about the safety of using this transport facility in the future. Recent accident statistics show that the age of boats, legislation and traffic flow control are nowadays insufficient to ensure the security of boats, crew, coasts and ecological system. Maritime authorities have set up Vessel Traffic Systems (VTS), which f...
متن کاملAutonomous Ship Safe Navigation using Smoothing A* Algorithm
Using reasonable and efficient autonomous technology for path planning can effectively improve the safety of ship navigation and can reduce human errors of maritime accidents. The planned path by A* algorithm is flawed with broken lines, many turning points and numerous transitional frequencies under the environment modeled by grid method. Smoothing A* algorithm is adopted to delete the removab...
متن کاملNumerical investigation of stopping maneuver for two by reversing propeller at different speeds
Maneuverability is an important aspect of marine vehicle design. With the development and utilization of ocean resources, maritime transportation is becoming increasingly busy. Stopping ability has great effect on the safety of ship maneuvering for those large ships. Therefore, it is necessary to study the behavior of the ship during the stopping maneuver to ensure the safety of navigation. In ...
